REGISTRATION FOR 2025-2026 WILL OPEN UP ON JANUARY 3, 2025

The 4/5 year old class (Pre-K) is a class that is preparing a child to enter into kindergarten the next school year. Skills will be taught to prepare the child being as ready as possible for kindergarten. Most children will be four years old turning five or may already be five years old. The children in this class must be four years old by September 1st. They must be toilet trained and be able to help themselves in the bathroom.  

The 4/5 year old class will academically focus on the following: practice writing their first names and as the year goes by they will be introduced to their last names. Learn pre-reading skills along with letter recognition, sounds, and letter formations. Number recognition, counting, one to one correspondence, and some basic math skills. 

This class will have a show and tell every Friday of each month. This class will also have parent readers (grandparents or other family members are welcome). I will send out a sign up in advance and if you are interested in coming to read to the class please sign up.       

All classes on a monthly basis will have specific lessons that will incorporate math, science, fairy tales/nursery rhymes, emotions and manners. We will do things to develop fine and gross motor skills. Like learning to use scissors, sorting and matching. They will be provided manipulatives, craft supplies, puzzles, pretend play, sensory opportunities, games, music and movement to enhance their learning. All classes will learn through singing, building, dramatic play, reading, and being creative.
